  2. Request and participate in an individual consultation with a member of the GBVIMS Steering Committee.
  3. Designate a point person for the GBVIMS at your Headquarters.
  4. Develop an implementation plan and technical support plan (start small and build from there!) (See implementation planning below)
  5. Communicate with the GBVIMS Steering Committee on progress/challenges and request technical support as needed.

Implementation Planning

  • Identify key field staff to work on the GBVIMS
  • Map the existing structure and flow of information at your pilot field program, assess existing data security at each site
  • Develop a site-specific implementation plan
  • Modify the GBVIMS tools to your context, the GBVIMS already has basic tools for psychosocial and health service providers that can be further modified to your context.
  • Ensure your staff is trained on the new tools and data gathering procedures
  • Implement the GBVIMS (including the information-sharing protocol, if your organization shares data with other organizations or a GBV Coordinating Agency)
  • Monitor GBVIMS usage
  • Analyze and use data
